Steve Funk, Head of Support for the cryptocurrency Sia, announced Thursday;
‘Sia v1.3.4 has been released! Our first release on GitLab, this version brings correct renter allowance reporting, the ability to cancel individual contracts, updates to the UI, support for streaming multiple files at the same time, and more.’
The new Sia update has already been downloaded nearly 1 million times in under 24 hours since its release.
The update is Sia’s first on GitLab and includes multiple upgrades. The most exciting, perhaps, is the inclusion of a GUI (graphical user interface) making the decentralized cloud storage service accessible to those with a deep, dark fear of the CLI (command line interface).
Sia is a decentralized storage platform secured by blockchain technology. The Sia Storage Platform leverages underutilized hard drive capacity around the world to create a data storage marketplace that is more reliable and lower cost than traditional cloud storage providers.
